Barbara Vanderbeck
I remember being smitten with clay from a very early age and have continued my love affair with the medium for countless years.

I play with form, layers of color, texture and pattern. Decorative motifs found in nature, bold, raw tribal art; the Hindu temples of Southern India, Majolica from the Mediterranean, and the architecture of Antonio Gaudi are a few of the influences seen in my work.

My current focus is sculpture designed for the garden. Being a passionate gardener myself, I am continually inspired by the perfection and beauty of the natural world.
